Meet the Clouses
FORAGING PLANTS FOR FOOD AND MEDICINE: INTRO TO BOTANY 101
We are excited to bring this class to the Duncan area with our friends at Restoration Farms.
Stewart and Ashley Clouse grew up in rural Nebraska, spent 10 years in the big city-Dallas, RVed full-time for 3 years as a family, and after searching for a long time decided to look in Oklahoma and are so glad they did. Their farm is located located in the foothills of the Ozarks in the Green Country region of Oklahoma and it lives up to its name! The Clouses came to tour it and fell in love. That was 5 years ago. They’ve been using permaculture or regenerative farming practices to restore their land and hope their follows enjoy their progress and can catch their vision for what is possible. Stewart and Ashley love sharing the abundance of the special place they are fortunate to steward and what tehy are learning here with others.
The Clouses run a small, family farm (Restoration Farms)…that is small farm, large family. They are a dozen in all!
Stewart works off farm part-time and loves to play piano, good music of all kinds, and especially math. He is always learning and loves teaching and using mathematics to more deeply understand whatever he’s working on.
Ashley stays home full-time with the kiddos. She loves reading, cooking, working outside, plants and flowers, and talking or playing games. She has always been a wildcrafter and herbalist. They married 10 years ago, adding 10 children along the way. Their children are an integral part of the farm and all have their own ventures that they’re working on their own.
The Clouses love inviting people to join them on the farm for tours, classes, and field trips to see the progress and learn along with them. Because family is so important to them, they’ve strived to make their farm and all they do family friendly.
